Review:

We, my wife and I, highly recommend Salone Construction for any kind of construction project. Craig Salone, the proprietor of Salone Construction, did a first rate job of building a 36′ x 36′ garage which includes a 12′ x 36′ “shop” area and a 12′ x 24′ “storage” area. The shop and storage area are insulated and heated. The remaining 24′ x 24′ is a two car garage. There is also a full attic that is for storage with a normal staircase leading to it. He also did a complete remodeling of our main house. He moved the front entrance door to a better location from where it originally was. He enlarged the front porch and put a beautiful roof over the new entrance way. He put in all new kitchen cabinets as well changed some interior walls and added a door to the laundry/storage room. He put in a new floor, removed a shower from one of the bath rooms, had tile laid and rug installed according to our instructions. He built a wonderful sun porch around the rear entrance of the house with full casement windows all around. He installed a deck adjacent to the sun porch across the back of the house and connecting with the garage. He utilized the old kitchen cabinets, which were in very good condition, by installing them in the shop area of the garage and in the shed that came with the house (this was his suggestion which we thought was a good idea). He also had the driveway and the north side of the house graded so that the rain water no longer ran right into the house. Craig is capable of building homes and just about anything as well as remodeling or repairing any structure. When he did the work for us, we were out of state most of the time. We had no trouble communicating with him about our desires during this time. His original estimates for everything were right on the money. His work is outstanding and can be seen if desired by making an appointment with him.

We hired Craig to add on to the loft at our house and he did exactly what we asked and the result was amazing.

The price quote was “spot on” and Craig delivered on time and did the work when we were out of the country…he sent and emailed photos almost every day! We trust him and think he is extremely innovative and skilled.  We would recommend him to anyone.   Over the years we have had many people work on houses for us and Craig is in a special category for his professionalism, attention to detail and for his excellent communication. We are so pleased and will look forward to the next Salone Construction project!

Review:

I own an older home with plaster walls. Craig did an excellent job in fixing a rather nasty looking place in the wall where there used to be a stove pipe running through the wall. He also scraped and did repairs on my plaster ceiling. In addition Craig did some other smaller jobs for me to help fix up my home. He was honest and prompt explaining everything he did. His cost efficient recommendations were much appreciated.

Salone Construction finished half of our downstairs walk-out basement by installing a full bath, hallway, and guest bedroom. The quality of work was first-rate, from the installation of new flooring (tile, carpet, and wood), new plumbing, new walls, trim, painting, etc. Working with Mr. Salone was an absolute pleasure. He kept us informed of the progress and any issues that arose on a daily basis, and he was happy to accommodate our changing needs. He completed the job on time, and stayed within the budget. His team was professional, clean, and respectful of our property. I give Salone Construction my highest recommendation and would/will use them again in the future to complete the other half of our basement. I’ve worked with many other general contractors in the Charlottesville area over the past 14 years, and none compare to the quality and professionalism of Salone Construction.

My wife and I called Salone Construction to remodeled our home. The house is an old colonial and was changed several times before we owned it. The floor plan was wasting lots of space. After speaking to Salone construction and explaining what we wanted they presented many options to meet our needs and budget. They gave us a complete new look plus lots of extra space. The project was completed on time and they took care of the entire project from start to finish.  I would never use anyone else on our next project or home.
